Photo Journal 2004
This photo journal from 2004 is one of my favorite projects, created just before I made the switch from film to digital. At the time, 35mm slide film was my go-to medium, along with black-and-white and cross-processed film. The journal offers a unique perspective on surfing, focusing on more abstract views of surf breaks—quite different from the glossy action shots that dominated surf magazines back then. The page layouts reflect my early interest in design, collage, and hand-drawn type. It was a personal and creative project that marked the end of an era, right before the whole world went digital.
